The FSSC 22000 Food Safety Certification System is the certification scheme for Food Safety Management Systems using the international standards ISO 22000 and the technical specification ISO 22002-1 (Prerequisite Programmes). This certification has been fully recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and ensures that a company has a robust food safety management system in place to gain global acceptance and recognition by food manufacturers and retailers.

FSSC 22000 certification is designed to promote international harmonisation and transparency in food safety standards at all levels of the food chain. Scope: Production of Standard and Refined sugar from sugar cane.

It demonstrates that the organisation provides products that meet customer requirements. It is currently in force for sugar cane production, marketing and production of sugar and alcohol in its different qualities: Biogas, CO2, electricity generation and sugar-based premixes.

This standard defines the requirements for implementing an Occupational Health and Safety system based on the control of occupational risks and the involvement of all personnel entering the organisation.

This certification is granted by the Orthodox Union, guaranteeing to the Jewish community worldwide that Magdalena products comply with the requirements of the religious traditions of this community. It is currently in force supporting Standard Sugar, Refined Sugar and 96% Alcohol products.
